■文法

(1)受動態 「〜される」と他から動作を受ける表現を受動態(受け身)という。 反対に、「〜する」という表現を能動態という。 受動態には、動詞の過去分詞という単語が使われる。 能動態の文 He likes her.   (彼は彼女が好きです。) 受動態の文 She is liked by him.   (彼女は彼に好かれている。) byは「〜によって」という意味。 受動態の形は、be動詞＋過去分詞で表す。 過去分詞は大きく規則動詞と不規則動詞の２つがあり、規則動詞は過去形と同じ形をとり、 不規則動詞は以下のような４つのタイプに分類される。 規則動詞の活用 原形 意味 過去形 過去分詞形 clean 掃除する cleaned cleaned   like 好む liked liked   open 開ける opened opened 不規則動詞の活用 ABC型 原形 意味 過去形 過去分詞形 be(is am are) 〜です was were been   do する did done   eat 食べる  ate eaten   give 与える gave given   grow 育つ grew grown   give 与える gave given   see 見る saw seen   sing 歌う sang sung   speak 話す spoke spoken   take 取る took taken   write 書く wrote written ABA型 原形 意味 過去形 過去分詞形 come 来る came come   run 走る ran run ABB型 原形 意味 過去形 過去分詞形 build 建てる built built   buy 買う bought bought   catch 捕まえる caught caught   find 見つける found found   make 作る made made   say 言う said said   teach 教える taught taught AAA型 原形 意味 過去形 過去分詞形 cut 切る cut cut   put 置く put put   read 読む read read   shut 閉める shut shut ※助動詞を含む受動態 can、willなどの助動詞を含む受動態の文は、助動詞＋be＋過去分詞の形をとる。 受動態の文 This dictionary is used by him. (この辞書は彼によって使われる。) 助動詞を含む受動態の文 This dictionary will be used by him. (この辞書は彼によって使われるだろう。) (2)受動態と前置詞 受動態の形である、be動詞＋動詞の過去分詞にはby、inなどの前置詞が伴うことがある。 一般的に、「〜によって」のbyが使われることが多いが、それ以外に使われる前置詞もある。 前置詞の意味を考えるよりも、熟語として覚えた方が効率的である。 This book is written in English. (この本は英語で書かれている。) ※覚えるべき受動態の熟語 　be known to 〜で知られている　　be interested in 〜に興味がある 　be used for 〜のために使われる　　be covered with 〜におおわれている 　be filled with 〜で満たされている　　be surprised at 〜に驚く 　be worried about 〜が心配である　　be exicted at(about) 〜に興奮する 　be made of 材料 〜で作られている　　be made from 原料 〜で作られている
