■文法

(1)more＋形容詞 形容詞にerをつけて比較級になるほかに、形容詞の前にmoreをつけて比較級をつくる場合もある。 この場合の形容詞は変化しない。 erがつく比較級の文 Manami is taller than Sukuharu. (まな美はすく春よりも背が高い。) A 形容詞の比較級   B   moreがつく比較級の文 This book is more interesting than that one.. (この本はあの本よりも面白い。) A 形容詞の比較級   B   ※moreの慣用表現として、more and more(だんだん)、once more(もう一度)などがある。 ※本文最後の行の、I have more money than you.のmoreはmuchの比較級で、「より多くの」 という意味である。 (2)the most＋形容詞 the 形容詞にestをつけて最上級になるほかに、形容詞の前にmostをつけて最上級をつくる場合もある。 この場合の形容詞は変化しない。 estがつく最上級の文 Manami is the tallest of the three. (まな美は３人の中で最も背が高い。) A 形容詞の最上級   B   mostがつく最上級の文 This place is the most beatiful in this cety. (この場所がこの町で最も美しい。) A 形容詞の最上級   B   (3)more、mostがつく形容詞 more、mostがつく形容詞は、３音節以上の形容詞、-ful、-ous、-ingで終わる形容詞である。 difficult(難しい)　　important(重要な)　　popular(人気のある) beatiful(美しい)　　famous(有名な)　　interesting(面白い)
